Croatia Cruise Ports – Embarkation Information
Thanks for booking with Discover Croatia AU. We’ve added some notes below about the main Split Cruise Port and Dubrovnik Cruise Port locations for those who need to make their own way to and from the cruise ports. They are quite easy to reach by bus, taxi or uber in all locations, and in some locations you can possibly even walk to the ship if you are staying nearby.
Please see our ‘Croatia Cruise FAQ’ info page; https://www.discovercroatia.com.au/croatia-cruise-faq/, with advice about what to bring, luggage storage, meals on board, tipping etc.
If you haven’t yet booked Accommodation, we have some suggestions here: https://www.discovercroatia.com.au/accommodation/
NOTE: Split Port Renovation in 2025 (possible changes to embarkation/disembarkation ports nearby):
The main Split Cruise Port is possibly undergoing renovations in 2025. Some cruises may need to depart from or arrive to nearby ports such as Trogir, Omis or Sibenik. As soon as we have more information about your specific cruise embarkation or disembarkation, we will let you know. The cruise vendors will make every effort to provide help to get you to or from your ship, but we ask that you leave extra time before or after your cruise in case of flight delays or changes that clash with any cruise port changes required by the port authorities. The cruise vendors have no choice or control over the situation, as the docks are managed by the governmental Port Authorities.
Other possible nearby ‘Split’ Cruise Port Locations for 2025:
Trogir Port (40 mins north of Split, but very near Split airport): https://goo.gl/maps/o5E2HhaztSS2
Omis Port (40 mins south of Split): https://goo.gl/maps/vCRCjHZ9EER2
Sibenik Port (60mins north of Split): https://maps.app.goo.gl/kR5TehVp3YrAFKBTA
General Boarding Information for all Cruises:
On the day of the cruise, we request that you call the Cruise Coordinator/s on the number/s we provided to you in your ‘Cruise Contacts & Voucher’ Email to find out your ship’s exact dock number and location before you head to the port. Their phone number/s will be on your Voucher and Cruise Information documents. Often they are also registered with WhatsApp if you do not have a local SIM card or roaming activated.
Regardless of your embarkation port or time, actual dock numbers are not allocated until the moment the ship arrives to each port, so we cannot give you dock numbers in advance. You must contact your Cruise Co-ordinator on the day of the cruise to locate your ship.
If you are calling the contact numbers from your mobile, the number you dial must start with a plus sign (+) eg +385-xxxxxxxx (instead of 00385-xxxxxxxx).

Due to large crowds at Split, Port Authorities place us for embarkation anywhere along the 400m pier. Most ships will be docked along Gat Sv Petra (St Peter Dock).
Embarkation in Dubrovnik Cruise Port

Port location map link (approx): Dubrovnik: https://goo.gl/maps/nxLqyw1Cr522

Dubrovnik Airport to Dubrovnik Gruz Port transport options: https://rome2rio.com/map/Dubrovnik-Airport-DBV/Dubrovnik-Port
Due to the large number of ships at Gruž port, Port Authorities might place us at any of these three locations along the 1000m long pier (see map below):
a) Across from the fish and vegetable markets
b) Near the local ferry arrivals
c) Under Franjo Tudman Bridge (up to 800m away)
Other Cruise Port Locations (approximate):
Omis Port (near Split): https://goo.gl/maps/vCRCjHZ9EER2

Trogir Port: https://goo.gl/maps/o5E2HhaztSS2
Zadar Port: https://goo.gl/maps/d5uHkeuG8HG2
All map locations are approximate because we can’t tell you the exact dock number as they aren’t allocated until the day of the cruise. You must walk around the port and look for your ship (which is often hidden behind other ships lined up next to each other) or ask the cruise staff to point you towards your ship. Almost all cruise staff at the port will be able to point you to where you need to be, even if they are staff of another cruise company. Please, just ask any cruise staff for help if you are struggling to find your ship.
