Sail and Cycle Croatia on a Guided Island Cruise
A sail and cycle Croatia holiday puts you on the bike each morning and back on the water each afternoon. You sleep aboard a small ship, wake in a different harbour most days, and ride coast roads and island tracks that larger vessels only sail past. Every departure runs 7 nights with a professional cycling guide, and bikes are provided — high-quality hybrid road/mountain bikes, with e-bike options available.
These trips go by several names: sail and bike Croatia, Croatia bike and sail, and bike and boat Croatia all describe the same style of holiday.

Croatia Cycling Cruises: How the Week Works
Each morning the ship reaches the day’s starting point and the bikes come ashore. Your guide leads the route through olive groves, vineyards, hilltop villages and old stone harbour towns before you rejoin the ship. Afternoons are for swimming, lunch on board and the sail to the next island.
On an e-bike cruise Croatia route the electric assist flattens the climbs, which is what allows groups of mixed ability to ride the same route together and finish at the same harbour.
Where the Routes Go
Cruise and cycle Croatia itineraries cover five areas of the coast:
- South Dalmatia one-way — Split or Trogir to Dubrovnik, or the reverse, via Brac, Hvar, Vis, Korcula, Mljet and Sipan.
- South Dalmatia round trip — from Trogir, looping Solta, Vis, Korcula, Hvar, Brac, Omis, Split and Ciovo.
- National Parks of Dalmatia — from Trogir, through Krka, Skradin, Telascica, Dugi Otok, Zadar and Sibenik.
- Istria — round trip from Omisalj, calling at Rovinj, Porec, Pula, Novigrad, Vrsar, Fazana, Rabac, Cres and Krk.
- Kvarner Bay — round trip from Omisalj, via Rab, Losinj, Cres, Ilovik, Pag and Krk.
Ships and Categories
Every cycle Croatia cruise below runs 7 nights. Deluxe departures use MS Bellezza, MS Harmonia, MS Magellan and MS Andela Lora. The remaining bike cruise Croatia departures run on MS Romantica, MS San Snova and MS Linda. Cabins are ensuite across all of them; the difference between categories is cabin size, deck space and finish rather than the cycling itself.

Cruises Without Cycling
If you’d prefer a standard cruise with no riding:
– Most of our cruises operate as one-way 7-night journeys, with the majority departing weekly on Saturdays, and some on Wednesdays.
– Our 7-night round-trip options primarily depart on Saturdays, with select sailings on Sundays or Wednesdays.
– Our one-way mini-cruises (shorter than 7 nights) fill up quickly, so book early.
For land-based cycling without the sailing, ask about our Hiking and Biking Tours.
