CROATIA CRUISE ITINERARIES ON 'MS SPALATO'

'MS SPALATO' - CRUISE SHIP DESCRIPTION

The elegant 36 metre MV Spalato is a Premium Superior ship built for cruising the stunning Dalmatian coastline, with room for up to 36 passengers across 18 double or twin cabins. She is small enough to slip into narrow harbours and quiet coves, and spacious enough that there’s always somewhere to sit, swim or watch the islands drift past.

The MV Spalato was fully refurbished in 2026, with all cabins and public areas renovated throughout.

Meals are served in the fully air-conditioned restaurant on the Main Deck, seating every passenger comfortably in a single sitting at shared tables. Picture windows run down both sides, so the coastline stays in view over breakfast as the anchor comes up and again over lunch after a morning swim. A bar counter runs along one side, complimentary WiFi reaches throughout.

Straight out from the restaurant, the rear of the Main Deck opens onto a covered outdoor seating area with a long varnished table and cushioned bench seating, shaded by the deck above. It’s the spot for a coffee after breakfast or a drink while you watch the harbour come and go.

One level up, the rear of the Upper Deck is laid out as an outdoor lounge, with sofas, armchairs and low coffee tables under cover and the coastline sliding past on both sides. Shaded and breezy, it suits an afternoon read, a pre-dinner drink or watching the sun drop behind the islands. A ladder leads up from here to the Sun Deck.

The Sun Deck runs along the top of the ship with sun loungers and a partially shaded area, so you can pick your own balance of sun and shade through the day. It’s the best vantage point aboard for arrivals and departures, with uninterrupted views over the water and out to the islands.

The Spalato is one of the few ships with Main and Upper ‘Above Deck’ cabins as well as Lower Deck porthole cabins, with the 18 cabins spread across all three decks for added space and comfort.

All 18 passenger cabins are generously sized and thoughtfully designed, each with a private ensuite bathroom and individually controlled air-conditioning. Inside you’ll find a safety deposit box, radio, hairdryer, round-pin plug power points and ample storage, with room to stow your luggage out of the way. Cabins are configured as either a double or two single beds.

At the stern, an extra-large swim platform with ladders gives easy access straight into the water. Swim stops are a daily feature of Dalmatian cruising, and the platform makes them simple — a few steps down and you’re in the clear blue Adriatic, with the ship waiting for you to climb back aboard.
