Croatia Cruise Ports Embarkation Information
Thanks for booking with Discover Croatia AU. We’ve added some notes below about the Split Cruise Port and Dubrovnik Cruise Port locations for those who need to make their own way to the cruise ports.
If you haven’t yet booked Accommodation, we have some suggestions here: https://discovercroatia.com.au/accommodation/
Dock numbers are not allocated until the day that the ship arrives to each port, so we cannot give you dock numbers in advance. On the day of the cruise, please call the cruise company before you depart for the port to find out your ship’s exact location. Their phone number will be on your Voucher and Cruise Information documents.
Embarkation in Split Cruise Port
Embarkation address – Split Ferry Port (look for signs ‘TRAJEKTNA LUKA’)
Port location map link (approx): Split: https://goo.gl/maps/H8e2iW63mT8mmeof8
Address: Obala Kneza Domagoja, Split
This is the main ferry harbour in Split where the central bus and train terminals are. Location is in the area between Obala Lazareta, St. Peter Dock (Gat Sv Petra) and the main Bus Station in Split.

Due to large crowds at Split, Port Authorities place us for embarkation anywhere along the 400m pier. Most ships will be docked along Gat Sv Petra (St Peter Dock).
Embarkation in Dubrovnik Cruise Port
Embarkation address – Dubrovnik Main Ferry Port (look for signs ‘PORT GRUZ’)
Port location map link (approx): Dubrovnik: https://goo.gl/maps/nxLqyw1Cr522

This is the main Dubrovnik ferry port at the other end of the city from the old town (not old port in the old town).

Due to the large number of ships at Gruž port, Port Authorities might place us at any of these three locations along the 1000m long pier (see map below):
a) Across from the fish and vegetable markets
b) Near the local ferry arrivals
c) Under Franjo Tudman Bridge (up to 800m away)
Other Cruise Port Locations (approximate):

Opatija Port: https://goo.gl/maps/2WFHWBfHqvx

Zadar Port: https://goo.gl/maps/d5uHkeuG8HG2
All map locations are approximate because we can’t tell you the exact dock number as they aren’t allocated until the day of the cruise. You must walk around the port and look for your ship (which is often hidden behind other ships lined up next to each other) or ask the cruise staff to point you towards your ship. Almost all cruise staff at the port will be able to point you to where you need to be, even if they are staff of another cruise company. Please, just ask any cruise staff for help if you are struggling to find your ship.
Most of the vessels have Satellite positions (GPS locator). You can download the “Vessel Finder App” to your phone for free to find your exact boat location.

On the day of the cruise, please call the cruise company before you depart for the port to find out the ship’s exact location. Dubrovnik in particular is a very big port and occasionally the ships are further away beneath the Franjo Tuđman Bridge and cannot be seen from the main port. See yellow highlights on photo here: Dubrovnik Gruz Harbour
If you can’t find your ship or transfer and you are calling the numbers from your mobile, you need to drop the 00 and add a plus sign + to the start of the number. E.g. to call a Croatian number from your Australian mobile phone, start with +385-xxxxxxxx instead of 00385-xxxxxxxx. All international calls made from mobile phones need to have the 00 dropped and replaced with a + sign or the call will not connect.
