What information do we collect?
We collect information from you when you register on our site, place an order or fill out a form. When ordering, you may be asked to enter your name, email address, phone number and postal address. Other information such as medical and dietary details may be required depending on the product you are purchasing. You may also visit our site anonymously.
We do not collect your credit card details through our site at any time. If you pay by credit card, we send you a secure link where you enter your own card details from your own computer. Our merchant banking system does not allow us to see your full credit card number at any point during the process.
On our Passenger Info Form we ask for your passport details, date of birth, insurance details and emergency contacts. If you do not wish to provide this information you do not need to, but we do need you to email us confirming that you have checked your passport expiry date and that you have no medical or dietary information that needs to be passed on to the tour or cruise operator. Travel insurance and visas are the passenger’s responsibility.
What do we use your information for?
Any information we collect from you may be used in the following ways:
- To process transactions: Your information will be used to deliver the product you purchased. For holiday bookings, this means your name, postal address, phone number and email address will be used to create your booking with the operator.
- To send periodic emails: The email address you provide for order processing will only be used to send you information and updates about your order. If you opt in to our mailing list, you will receive emails that may include company news, updates, and related product or service information. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of each email.
- To personalise your experience: Your information helps us respond to your individual needs.
- To improve our website: We continually work to improve our website based on the information and feedback we receive.
- To improve customer service: Your information helps us respond more effectively to your requests and support needs.
How do we protect your information?
We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information when you place an order or access your personal information.
We use a secure server. All sensitive information is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and encrypted into our payment gateway provider’s database, accessible only by authorised personnel who are required to keep the information confidential.
After a transaction, your private information is kept on file for up to 7 years for tax office records as required by Australian law.

When you purchase a holiday through Discover Croatia, your personal information will be provided to the vendors of all portions of your holiday in order to book and finalise your arrangements. We only share the minimum data needed to ensure your holiday runs smoothly, such as your telephone numbers, medical issues, dietary requirements and passport details.
