This is the cruise for people who have already seen Split and Dubrovnik, or who simply want a quieter side of the Adriatic. It starts and finishes in Opatija, the elegant 19th-century resort town on Kvarner Bay, and spends a full week among the northern islands that most Croatia cruises never reach.
The route is a genuine loop with no backtracking. Day one takes you to Krk, the largest Croatian island, with a wine tasting in the hilltop village of Vrbnik. Rab follows, with its four bell towers and its famous almond cake, then the mainland city of Zadar, where the Roman forum sits a few steps from the Sea Organ and the Greeting to the Sun light installation.
The middle of the week is about nature. You cruise into Kornati National Park, a maze of bare islands and reefs, and spend the night in Telascica Bay on Dugi Otok, close to the high white cliffs and the salt lake. Mali Losinj brings the Apoxyomenos Museum, built around a Greek bronze athlete raised from the sea nearby, and the final island is Cres, with olive groves, stone walls and a medieval harbour town.
You travel on a newly built Deluxe ship with ensuite cabins on the Main and Lower Decks. Breakfast and lunch are served on board, along with a Welcome Reception, an extra dinner at Kornati and the Captain's Dinner on the last night. Guided walks in Opatija, Krk, Rab, Zadar and Losinj are included, as are the Kornati and Telascica park fees, so the main cost of the week is covered before you board.
Mornings are for swim stops in very clear water, afternoons for exploring with local guides, and evenings are yours to spend in small harbour towns. It suits travellers who want a relaxed pace and a part of Croatia that still feels undiscovered.
