Overview

This is a dedicated gay cruise along the Dalmatian coast, running just once a year on a Deluxe ship. It is open age, and guests are usually couples, solo travellers and small groups of friends, broadly 25 to 65, so the whole boat shares the same relaxed, social feel from the first night.

The route is a full loop from Split that packs in the southern highlights. After a guided walk through Diocletian's Palace and the Welcome Reception, you head straight to Korcula for a guided tour of its walled old town. Day three combines Mljet, with the salt lakes and the island monastery, and an evening arrival in Dubrovnik, cruising along the old city walls with dinner served on deck. The next day is in Dubrovnik itself, with a guided walk, the cable car up Mount Srd and a free afternoon for the walls and the Stradun.

The return leg is where this cruise stands apart. On the Peljesac Peninsula you head inland to a farm for a village party with local food made from its own produce. Hvar follows, with lunch off the small island of Scedro, a swim at the Pakleni Islands, a short look at the lavender trade and a town tour before a night in the island's bars. The last day is spent at Bol, with Zlatni Rat beach, a tasting at Dalmatia's oldest wine cooperative and a farewell Captain's Dinner.

Cabins are spacious, air-conditioned and ensuite, and there is a jacuzzi on the sun deck. Breakfast is daily, with lunch or dinner on board as shown in the itinerary. Mljet park entry, the Dubrovnik cable car and airport transfers at both ends are included. As there is only one sailing a year, it suits travellers who book well ahead.
