Overview

This round trip from Split is one of the longest-running itineraries on the coast, and the reason is simple: it gives you two full nights in Dubrovnik and still covers the best of the islands on the way down and back.

The week opens with a guided walk through Diocletian's Palace and a welcome dinner on board in Split. Day two calls at Bol for Zlatni Rat beach and a tasting at the oldest wine cooperative in Dalmatia, founded in 1903, before a guided walk in Hvar and an evening in its harbour bars. Then the route turns to the Peljesac Peninsula, Croatia's red wine country, where you head inland to a family farm in Trstenik for a heritage dinner made from its own produce.

On day four you walk to the salt lakes on Mljet and take the boat to the 12th-century monastery on St Mary's Island, then cruise past the walls of Dubrovnik before berthing for the Captain's Dinner. The next day is entirely in Dubrovnik: a guided walk, the cable car up Mount Srd and a free afternoon for the city walls and the Stradun, with the ship staying in port overnight. The return leg calls at Korcula for a guided tour of its walled old town and finishes at Pucisca or Milna on Brac, with a final dinner on board.

You travel on a Luxury ship with air-conditioned ensuite cabins and a sun deck jacuzzi. Breakfast and lunch are daily, along with the Welcome Dinner, the Peljesac heritage dinner, the Captain's Dinner, a dinner cruise along the Dubrovnik walls and a final dinner on board. Mljet park entry, the cable car and airport transfers are included. Note the last night is on Brac, arriving in Split at 9am, so book flights after midday.
