Overview

An independent tour, 3 nights from Zagreb to Split, departing every Wednesday and Sunday from April to October. There is no group and no tour manager: hotels, transfers, taxes and the national park entrance are arranged for you. This Zagreb to Split tour via Plitvice Lakes spends two of its three nights in the capital itself, with a guided walk through the Upper and Lower Towns taking in St Mark's tiled roof, the Stone Gate, the cathedral and the Dolac market at its morning best, plus a free evening in a city full of good bars and restaurants. The drive south then breaks at Plitvice Lakes, where boardwalks thread between sixteen terraced lakes and their waterfalls, and ends in Split with Diocletian's Palace. The most direct of the pre-cruise options, and the one to pick if you fly into Zagreb.
