Overview

One of our few mid-week 7 night deaprtures. Sailing north on a Wednesday, it makes it easy to add a few days in Dubrovnik first or a land tour from Split afterwards.

The week starts in Dubrovnik with a guided walk through the Old Town, an optional cable car ride up Mount Srd and a Welcome Dinner on board. The next day you cruise past the city walls and swim at one of the Elaphiti Islands before arriving in Slano for a half-day trip to Ston, with its medieval walls, saltworks and an oyster tasting at the farm. The Captain's Dinner follows that evening.

From there the route works its way up the islands. On Mljet you walk to the salt lakes of the National Park and take the boat to the 12th-century monastery on St Mary's Island. Korcula has a guided walk through its walled old town and a free evening, and Vis, once a closed naval base, brings a local wine tasting and the remains of ancient Issa. Day six starts at the Blue Cave on Bisevo, weather permitting, with a swim and lunch at the Pakleni Islands, then a walking tour of Hvar and a night in its harbour. The final day stops for a swim at Zlatni Rat near Bol before a guided walk through Diocletian's Palace in Split.

You travel on a Deluxe ship with air-conditioned ensuite cabins on the Main and Lower Decks and a sun deck jacuzzi. Breakfast and lunch are daily, with a Welcome Dinner, Captain's Dinner and wine, olive oil and oyster tastings. Mljet park entry, the Ston walls, the Dubrovnik cable car and airport transfers are included. Midweek departures are few, so this suits travellers who plan ahead.
