Overview

One of our rare mid-week departures for a 7 night cruise. Departing on a Wednesday, it covers the full southern island route at an easy pace.

It starts with a guided walk through Diocletian's Palace and a Welcome Dinner on board in Split. The next morning you swim at Zlatni Rat beach near Bol, have lunch at the Pakleni Islands and spend the evening in Hvar after a walking tour of the cathedral and the 1612 theatre. Day three is the outer islands: the Blue Cave at Bisevo, weather permitting, then a night on Vis, a former naval base that stayed closed to visitors for years, with a local wine tasting.

The second half of the week heads south. Korcula's walled old town has a guided walk, and on Mljet you reach the salt lakes of the National Park and the 12th-century monastery on St Mary's Island. Slano is the base for Ston, where you walk the medieval walls and taste oysters at the farm, before the Captain's Dinner that night. The final day sails along Dubrovnik's city walls with lunch on deck, then a guided walk in the Old Town and the cable car up Mount Srd.

You travel on MS Fantazija, a Deluxe ship with air-conditioned ensuite cabins on the Main and Lower Decks and a jacuzzi on the sun deck. Breakfast and lunch are daily, with a Welcome Dinner and Captain's Dinner, wine and olive oil tastings and the Ston oyster tasting. Mljet park entry, Ston walls, the cable car and airport transfers are all included. Guests are usually couples and small groups, and the midweek dates are limited.
