Check-in at Omis, a small town where the Cetina river cuts a gorge through the coastal mountains, with optional river rafting or a zipline over the canyon before boarding. Lunch on board on the crossing to Hvar, with a swim stop in a bay on the way. Hvar town is the reason a lot of people book this week: the bars along the harbour run late and the crowd is young. Dinner on board. Overnight in Hvar, or at Stari Grad if berths at Hvar are full.

A late start after the night out, then the run south to Korcula with swim stops in the Pakleni islands and along the way. Korcula town sits on a walled promontory, claims Marco Polo as a local, and is small enough to walk in an hour. Meals ashore tonight in the seafront konobas. Overnight in one of the ports of Korcula, depending on availability, either the town centre port or Domince about 3 km out.

Breakfast and a morning departure for Dubrovnik, lunch served on board with the coast running past. The approach by sea is the best view of the walls anyone gets. Two nights in port here, so tonight is the first of them: the old town is compact, the bars are busy, and the 1,940 m circuit of the walls is open to walk. Overnight in Dubrovnik.

A full day in Dubrovnik with no sailing. Walk the walls early before the heat, take the cable car up to Srd for the view over the red roofs, or spend the afternoon at Banje beach below the old town. Dinner on board before a second night ashore. Overnight in Dubrovnik.

North to the Peljesac Peninsula, with lunch on board and a long swim stop. Trstenik is a working fishing village at the foot of the Dingac vineyards, and the wine made on the slopes above is the best known red in Croatia. Quiet night compared with the last two. Overnight in Trstenik.

A morning of cruising and swimming on the way to Makarska, which sits under the grey wall of Biokovo mountain. Lunch on board. The waterfront promenade is lined with cafes and bars and the beach runs for kilometres in both directions from the harbour. Overnight in Makarska.

The last full day, with a stop at Bol on Brac if the schedule allows, where Zlatni Rat shifts shape with the currents. Lunch on board on the short leg back up the coast to Omis. Final night with the group, and Split is 25 km away if anyone wants a last night out in the city. Overnight in Omis.

Early breakfast, then check-out and farewell to the crew. Omis is about 40 minutes from Split Airport for onward travel.
