Open-age Independent Tour. There is no Tour Escort and you may or may not be travelling with others. Minimum 2 people. Double/twin rooms available. Solo travellers must book a room for solo use. Most triple rooms are a double bed with a single sofa-bed.

ITINERARY:
Departure at 11:00hrs from the Tronchetto Bus Station. Please arrive 10 mins early.

Day 1: Pick up in VENICE, then to OPATIJA - Arrival
Pick up at Tronchetto bus station at 11.00am or Venice airport, on the way out of Venice (Marco Polo or Treviso). Head to Opatija, Croatia, a charming resort-town situated on the north coast of the Adriatic. Remainder of day at leisure.

Day 2: in OPATIJA (B)
Guided tour of Opatija, a coastal town situated on the picturesque Kvarner Bay and a cradle of Croatian tourism. It used to be the favourite spa resort of the Habsburgs and the European aristocracy as well as the 19th-century elite Gustav Mahler and Isadora Duncan. Walking through the colourful Angiolina park and along the Lungomare sea promenade surrounded by charming Austro-Hungarian villas and residences, you can still feel the unique glamour of Opatija. Overnight in Opatija.

Day 3: to Plitvice Lakes, then to SPLIT (B)
After breakfast, early departure towards the spectacular Plitvice Lakes National Park. The oldest Croatian National Park, Plitvice consists of 16 lakes connected by cascading waterfalls. Enjoy a 3-4 hours walking tour strolling the wooden paths and nature trails surrounded by lush greenery and turquoise waters (minimum fitness level required). After some free time, continue on to Split for a late afternoon arrival. Overnight in Split.

Day 4: SPLIT - Departure (B)
After breakfast, check out of your hotel room. You can leave your bags with hotel reception until after your walking tour. Enjoy our guided walking tour of Split, the biggest city in Dalmatia, with rich cultural heritage and historical values dating from Roman times. At the core of this sprawling cityscape is the palace Emperor Diocletian built for his golden years at the turn of the 4th century. To this day the Palace remains one of the best-preserved monuments of Roman architecture in the world. Take a walk along 'Riva' - the main waterfront promenade, often called the city’s “living-room”. This vivid pedestrian area offers numerous bars and restaurants where the locals gather to discuss their everyday lives over a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. Head back to the hotel at your leisure, ready for your next adventure.
